EMMELINE L.VANCEEVERYTHINGYOUWANTEDTOKNOWANDMORE.Emmy, Mum and I are...well, we're worried about you. We know about what's going on in the wizarding world so don't try and play us. It's impossible for you to tell everything you're thinking to another person, but what about to a diary? I know you've never kept one and every tomboy cell in your body (read: all of them) is probably repulsed at the thought of it, but trust me: it'll do you good.
All the love in the world, Pop------------------------- made by emmy at caution.

DEARDIARY, Pop? This journal idea is entirely bogus, I'll have you know. I'm only writing in it this one time so it can seem like I earnestly tried but, really, I don't need a book to vent my feelings out. You can quote me on this: I don't need a journal. This is actually pretty nice...
September came and went without a hitch. Well, no, there were tryouts, and Gideon was absolutely worthless. Then again, I wasn't exactly surprised. Did you know his brain was the size of a walnut? Yeah, I didn't either. But I just really want to insult him right now the school nurse told me, and now I feel a bit bad for the guy. Could you imagine growing up with such a small brain? I guess the Sorting Hat was drunk or something when it sent him to Ravenclaw.
October started, and so did all the usual bull. It's not something I'm not already used to, though. I just...I don't know. I guess I keep on coming here foolishly hoping that something would change but everything is the same. Everyone is the same. We've grown a year, but not at all. Then again, I'm not exactly one to talk. I haven't been Miss Progressive since I turned ninety last year.
Well, that's all I have time for today. I'm supposed to go meet up with Lily for some...girl things. It could be fun?
LOVE,EMMELINE.
