Ismene had produced a decent costume in a matter of hours, deciding that she would ultimately go tick or treating this year as a pirate. It was all simple, really. She had borrowed a friend's leather skirt, wore one of her shirts that her muggle friend lent her, some boots, and, of course, was ably to transfigure a couple of pieces of cloth into an eyepatch and a hat. The gloves were some of her old dragon-hide pair, and she had enough jewelry to mix and match. Make up and hair was the easiest- long waves paired with heavy eyeliner. She even had a sword fixed on her left side, her wand safely stored beside it in case she needed it. She doubted she would.
Traveling around the classrooms, Ismene had collected her fair share of droobles best blowing gum, fizzing whizbees, chocolate frogs, and other wizarding sweets galore. The muggle studies professor had naturally given out these peculiar little packaged items called sugar daddies... Whatever those were. They appeared gargantuan little items. No matter, Ismene thought, as she emerged from the castle doors.
Stepping out onto the grounds, Ismene was slightly surprised to see it was virtually deserted. Where was everyone? Collecting candy surely didn't take that long. "Oh well. I'll just go by the lake."
Taking long strides foreward, Ismene wondered if anyone else had decided to go as a pirate. Perhaps she would be the only one... And that wouldn't be any fun! After all, pirates fought with other pirates, which had to equal a little fun... Right?
As Ismene reached the lake, she sat down on a rock. A moment later, she was humming an old sea chanty her mother used to sing to her during bath time. A little embarrassing, yes, but the song was extraordinarily beautiful.

Melina loved collecting candies!! This year she decided to wear something different than the other year. She decided to be a lolita this year. She liked that kind of clothes. Her best muggle friend was wearing those clothes and she kindly lend them to Melina for this situation. Melina loved black color. And the dress was awesome. It fitted perfectly with her short brown hair and her green eyes. "Well I think I collected enough for a year" she said and she started laughing. She take a look outside..."Perhaps I can still go for a walk...But it's freezing out there...I should go get my overcoat..." she thought.Melina loved walking outdoors... "I think I would start by the forbidden forest..." she said to herself laughing. Forbidden forest was out of the limits for all the students without the presentation of a Professor. She hoped to find some ghosts there but since it was out of limits she could try searching somewhere else... "Ah! The Black lake? How didn't I thought sooner!! I'm stupid!!" she said again. She started walking towards the black lake. The fresh air was perfect. Thank god she was wearing her overcoat. Suddenly she heard a nice voice singing a beautiful song... "Ok...I hope it is a mermaid...I hope it is a mermaid...please please please..." she whispered while she was holding her wand out. She was alone there...or she thought that way...

Eventually Ismene's humming had turned into actual singing of the tune, and she had wondered why she had forgotten the use of an old firewhiskey bottle for a prop. It would certainly have added a nice touch.
"We pillage, we plunder, we rifle and loot. Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho! We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot. Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!
Yo Ho, Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me.
We extort, we pilfer, we filch and sack. Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho! Maraud and embezzle and even hijack. Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!"
Mene couldn't help but grin as she sang the old sea shanty. After all, it was quite a silly thought of pirates by a castle that was inhabited by witches and wizards of various ages. Yet here was one, so to speak, and, Ismene thought, a fierce fighter indeed. "Perhaps I should give meself a pirate name..." Ismene paused, and then grinned. "Mene the cut throat! The most fearsome pirate to sail the black lake and beyond..."
A rustle of leaves nearby made Ismene's grin melt away as she stood up, drawing out her cutlass. "Yargh... Who be intruding on tha most fearsome pirate to sail the black lake an' beyond? Show's me yer face, so's I know who I'm killin!" It took Ismene a moment before she realized what she said. Clearing her throat, she felt herself flush a dark shade of red. "Er, I mean... Who goes there?"

Melina knew that song. "Pirates? In our Black lake? and this century? Well thats really odd? whats going on here" she thought and she started laughing out loudly... "Lumos" she wispered and a light at the end of her wand appeared.
She started walking towards that voice. At first she take a look at the lake searching for a ship or something. Then she noticed a girl standing nearby. She look closer and and she saw a pirate girl!!
"Oh great! A pirate!! Where is you ship?"she said smiling at her. "If it wasn't a trick or treat day I would have already running for the castle!!!" she laughted again... "So...do we have any rum?" she asked her and she sat on a rock too.

The pirate Ismene was getting annoyed as fast as the normal Ismene would have. "Okay, if this is Mulciber or Avery, I swear on the pirate's code that I'll send you to Davy Jones' locker." Her sword was still drawn as she looked around. "No answer, eh? I see, you're all just a bunch of cowards."
Ismene was about to investigate the intruder when they revealed themselves to her. She was releived to see it was simply another girl in costume, dressed as something Ismene had never seen before. She smiled slightly, accent kicking in. "Me ship? Me ship is located five 'hundred paces west. And may I ask what you are?"
Her smile grew crooked slightly as she held up a rum bottle. "It may only be pumpkin juice, but it's a fine substitute!"

Melina observed her and her mysterious attitude. She was really living her role...or costume, oh whatever. She was a student in hogwarts, and a gryffindor too. She knew her because they had some classes together. Although they hadn't really met. She didn't actually know her name...but as her mother always was saying...never is late for some new friends.
"Well, I'm a human as you can see...and a wizard of course" she said smiled. she knew that it wasn't what the pirate girl asked but she wanted to confused her since she didn't know what her costume was. "This are some muggle clotths. They are known as lolita style. Well pumpkin juice is actually fine too " she said to her.
"My name is Melina Derek, 7th year and Hufflepuff's Perfect. And you are?" she asked. In the same time she shaked her wand and some little lights appeared and started dancing in the air. "Well I hoped you don't mind some light. I wanna see to whom I'm talking too." she said .
