It was a chilly, cold day, but it was survivable. The students should be finishing up with their trick or treating, and the Professors should be up and chaming themselves so they look like those scary creatures of the night. The air was filled with excitment, and what would some come to be fear too.
The forest was enchanted. The trees looked horrifying in the night with owls and other such creatures nestled in them and waiting for their prey. Of course, the students are safe. The Professors are everywhere, keeping an eye on things and ready to pop out at any given moment and terrify the students.
The moon was hanging in the sky, not a full one of course. The Professors would never plan a day like this on a full moon, but it was close to it. If one looked up, not in the forest, one would clearly be able to see the stars. Of course, hidden in the forest, there was no clearing and therefore no moon or stars for the sights. Only creepy darkness and a cnadle or two to light the way. A owl hooting in it's tree, or a scared creature running past the feet of one of the terrified students.
