Yes, She was walking outside on Halloween. ...And yes, she was actually dressed up! 'What a surprise.' she thought disdainfully. It was a clear, crisp Halloween night, and Melodie heard that some teachers were setting something up for the students in the forbidden forest. Now, Mel had to admit that she was looking forward to being scared-- firstly, and mainly, because she never was; a change was good sometimes.
Now, just for kicks-- Mel decided to dress up like a muggle this Halloween, Considering that the whole school was following in the-- Mel Winced-- Muggle tradition. She thought it would be a fun thing to dress up like one; playful irony, perhaps. Mel had something called 'jeans' on and a white t-shirt. On top of her gorgeous Blonde hair, she wore a khaki braided Cowboy hat-- Well... Didn't Muggles dress like this?
It took some talking to her parents to send this stuff. Mostly, she discussed it with her little brother as back-up... Well considering that he is their 'only child'. Mel rolled her eyes and looked up at the tall trees. She stuffed her hands in her pockets and gently glided into the darkness. Mel turned around-- just to look at where she had been-- and saw the starlight beaming down upon the dew, October grass; a small smile came upon her lips and she ducked her head, walking forward into the dark trees.
Mel admitted reluctantly, "It's well done." she told nobody. The trees were creepier than normal, and to add even more fright. There seemed to be no animals around, nothing skittering or howling. The silence was unbearable, too loud-- actually. Mel shoved her hands into her pockets further and continued into the forest. 'just go on and scare me!' she thought, irritantly. The suspense was killing her. Mel figured that suspense was really the only scary thing in fear.
Melodie sighed and leaned against the tree, wondering when the 'scaring would happen'. "Maybe they have to find me." she thought aloud, shrugging against the bark. As Mel breathed, she could see her breath travel through the air. She let herself marvel at it for a second before hearing a twig snap behind her. Melodie turned quickly, her hand on her wand, for extra protection.
